Abstract

Nach drei Jahren Thomas-Feierlichkeiten wird in dieser Einleitung noch einmal die Gelegenheit genutzt, die Bedeutung des Denkens von Thomas von Aquin für die Philosophie aufzuzeigen. Es wird auf neuere Editionen seiner Schriften ebenso hingewiesen wie auf aktuelle Diskussionen seiner Thesen im Feld der Praktischen Philosophie. Zudem werden die drei Beiträge des Schwerpunktes kurz vorgestellt.

After three years of celebrating Thomas Aquinas, this introduction once again takes the opportunity to highlight the significance of his thinking for philosophy. It refers to recent editions of his writings as well as to current discussions of his claims in the field of practical philosophy. In addition, the three contributions to the Special Issue are briefly presented.
